White Cloud® GreenEarth™ Paper Towels Ranked #1 "Green" Choice by Consumer Reports

White Cloud® GreenEarth™ Paper Towels were recently measured against their competitors through a test conducted by Consumer Reports Magazine. White Cloud® GreenEarth™ was found to be the best in the "green" products category (products made of 100 percent recycled paper, with some post-consumer content). In December 2009, CR pitted 21 paper towel brands against one other to see how they stacked up. CR compared 100 square feet of each brand in order to level the playing field and eliminate cost influencers such as number of sheets, size of sheets, and number of rolls per package. CR tested absorbency (weight of water a sheet held per square foot), scrubbing strength (tested on ceramic tiles), and wet strength (the weight a wet paper towel could hold). After the rigorous exam, White Cloud® GreenEarth™ was ranked as the top performer among all the "Green" brands.

Save up to $130 per year with White Cloud® Bathroom Tissue

In May 2009, Consumer Reports Magazine conducted a study comparing off-brand (not familiar with this term. Should use something different) toilet paper products to their pricier competitors and found that White Cloud® bathroom tissue at Walmart costs roughly half of the bigger named brands. White Cloud® costs about 15 cents or less per 100 sheets, and it scored "very good" or better for softness and disintegrations. If a family of three purchased off-brand toilet paper for one year in lieu of Quilted Northern, Charmin, or Cottonelle, they could save up to $130 per year. CR discovered that, while the more expensive brands are toting more sheets, more layers, and the added benefits of wet wipes - these claims are "mostly puffery" and consumers should evaluate the comparison data before making a purchase. White Cloud® bathroom tissue at Walmart was (delete - rated 6th out of 13 dry rolls and was) rated a CR Best Buy based on the level of performance for the price.
